Inclusion and Pastoral Support
At The District CE our Inclusion and Pastoral team takes a holistic approach to working with children and families. To best support children’s personal development, behaviour and welfare our team includes:
- Mrs. L Shelford – Headteacher
- Mrs. S Swift – Designated Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead
- Mrs. C Ryder – Deputy Headteacher/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Mrs. C Clark – Assistant Headteacher, SENco and Behaviour Lead
- Mrs. D Barker – Pastoral Manager
- Miss. G Holcroft – HLTA / Nurture Lead
- Mrs K Knox – SLA / SEND and Behaviour Assistant
The team use a range of strategies, tools and resources to support children’s emotional health and well-being, they help to remove barriers to low attendance and reduce persistent absence. We also work in partnership with other providers and services to meet the needs of our pupils.
Members of the team work with small groups and individual pupils to support the development of positive attitudes and learning behaviours, and to support each child’s emotional health and well-being. Parents and children are supported through EHAT assessments, delivery plans and reviews.
Further details about our pastoral team can be found on our information leaflet/
